He is best known for directing the drama films Short Term 12 (2013), The Glass Castle (2017), Just Mercy (2019) as well as the Marvel Studios films Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), and the television series Wonder Man (2026–present).
